Contextual targeting uses keyword lists to match your campaigns to relevant webpages. Create your own keyword list or use ours. Standard pre-made lists have been optimized for performance and include brand-safety features. Each category has sub-lists that can be individually targeted. Custom lists allow for brand-specific keywords.
How Does It Work?
A website’s content is analyzed for keywords and meta data.
Specific webpages are matched with words and phrases from your keyword lists.
Your ads are displayed on the corresponding webpages.
Tips For Custom Lists
1. Contain enough keywords to match with available inventory. On the other hand, too many keywords decreases the effectiveness of the targeting.
2. Not include phrases of more than 3 words, as they can make the segment too general. We want to be precise!
3. Avoid duplicate keywords and phrases. Keywords are reduced to their base or root form. If you include “eat” in your list, you do not need to include “eats” or “eating.”
